Betty's Peanut Butter Cereal Squares

Betty demonstrates how to make Peanut Butter Cereal Squares. This is a snack made of Cheerios or Kix cereal coated with a peanut butter candy sauce.


Pie filling mix 3 1/2 Ounce (1 small package of vanilla, butterscotch, or chocolate pudding and pie filling mix)
Light corn syrup 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Peanut butter 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (use creamy or chunky)
Cheerios 4 Cup (64 tbs) (or Kix cereal)



In a large saucepan, heat dry pudding mix and corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. 

Boil and stir constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat. 

Stir in peanut butter. Add 3 to 4 cups cereal and stir immediately to coat. 

Spoon mixture into a greased 8-inch by 8-inch by 2-inch Pyrex baking dish, quickly patting down with back of a greased spoon. 

Cool until firm. Cut into squares. 


Transfer to a nice serving dish and serve.
