Betty demonstrates how to make Low Fat Brown Sugar Spice Cookies. These cookies have no added oil or butter, making them a great choice for those who are avoiding fat. The cookies are soft, not crisp like cookies containing a lot of shortening.

Light brown sugar 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs) (firmly packed)
Egg 1
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Honey 1 Tablespoon
All purpose flour 2 1/3 Cup (37.33 tbs)
Chopped pecans/Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Ground cinnamon 2 Teaspoon
Ground all spice 1 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
Cooking oil spray 1

In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, egg, water, and honey.

Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well-combined.

In another large bowl, combine flour, pecans, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and baking soda.

Add brown sugar mixture to dry mixture and mix well with a spoon.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking pan sprayed with cooking oil spray. Place the cookies about 1 ½ inches apart.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned on the edges.

Remove from the oven and transfer cookies to a cooling rack.

Place on a nice serving plate and serve either warm or cool.
