Crispy Spicy Fried Chicken Recipe

Fried chicken time!! Today we're making some of this juicy, crispy, crunchy spicy fried chicken! I don't care what anybody says, fried chicken is just plain fun to eat! There is something amazing about sinking your teeth down into that crispy, crunchy coating and into the juicy, tender flavorful meat.


Buttermilk 1/2 Gallon
Garlic cloves 4 , crushed
White onion 1/2 , slice
Hot sauce 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Salt 3 Tablespoon (optional, but adds great flavor)
Whole chicken 3 Pound , cut
For seasoning blend
Salt 1 Tablespoon (can add more if desired)
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Cajun seasoning 1 Tablespoon
Black pepper 1 Tablespoon
Paprika 1 Tablespoon
Onion powder 1 Tablespoon
Garlic powder 1 Tablespoon
Poultry seasoning 1 Tablespoon
Cayenne 1 Tablespoon (can more if desired)
Celery salt 1 Teaspoon
Smoked salt 1 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1/2 Tablespoon
Self rising flour
For egg mixture
Hot sauce 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Eggs 3
Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
Peanut oil 6 Cup (96 tbs)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
