Fluffy Southern Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

Pass the sausage gravy!!!! Let's make some good old fashioned fluffy, golden buttery buttermilk biscuits!! This recipe is a classic and produces the best scratch-made biscuits ever! We could eat these everyday and sadly I've been making them every day for the past few days.


All purpose self rising flour 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((White Lily used))
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Light brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
Cold buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Heavy whipping cream 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , cold
Real butter 6 Tablespoon , cold
Butter flavored vegetable shortening 2 Tablespoon , cold
For basting
Buttermilk 2 Tablespoon ((as needed))
Melted butter 2 Tablespoon ((as needed))
