Milk | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
Powdered sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Bread slices | 8 (Texas Toast bread) | |
Maple syrup | 1 Teaspoon | |
Butter | 1 Teaspoon |
MAKING:
1.In a medium-size bowl beat together the eggs and the milk. Using a wire mesh strainer, strain the custard mixture into another bowl, then beat in flour, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
2.Heat a skillet or a griddle to about 350 degrees. Brush the skillet/griddle with butter.
3.Place the bread into the custard mixture, then flip over the bread, and then place the bread onto the hot cooking surface.
4.Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. The bread should be golden in color when cooked through. Remove from skillet.
SERVING:
5.Cut the toast diagonally, and sprinkle with powdered sugar, and top with butter and serve.
