How to Make a Cream Tart Cake

These trendy cream tart cakes are everywhere these days! I decided to try my hand at making one and I had a blast! These personalized (letter, number, shapes, etc) cakes are little works of art. It doesnt matter if you suck at decorating like I do lol just have fun with it and let your imagination goooooo!

There really isnt a wrong way to make these gorgeous, layered tart cakes. Some folks use cakes, wafers, cookies and even crackers for the layers. Im using a tweaked version of my Southern tea cake for this recipe and a simple cheesecake filling. They pair up well together with the fresh fruit toppings. Don't forget the fresh flowers!!

Ingredients

For cookie cake
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (((room temperature)))
Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Egg 1
Vanilla extract 1/2 Teaspoon
Almond extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Coconut extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Lemon extract 1/4 Teaspoon
All purpose flour
Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For cheesecake filling
Heavy whipping cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Powdered sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , divided
Cream cheese 8 Ounce , softened
Vanilla extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Coconut extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Lemon extract 1/4 Teaspoon
Topping:
Edible flowers To Taste
Candy To Taste (((candy flowers)))
Fresh fruit To Taste
