For the chutney:
Green chillies 4
Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
Ginger piece 1 1/2 Inch
Coriander leaves 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Mint leaves 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Tomatoes 2 Large (thickly sliced, for the fritters or bhaji)
For batter:
Gram flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Coriander powder 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Rice flour 2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Oil 3 Cup (48 tbs) (for frying)



1.Grind all the ingredients of the chutney to a fine paste.

2.Mix all the ingredients of the batter properly and make a batter.

3.Apply the chutney to the middle part of the tomatoes and sprinkle some chaat masala on it.

4.Heat oil in a pan.

5.Coat the tomato slices with the batter and fry them in the oil.


6.Tomato Bhaji is ready to serve!
