Ingredients

For batter:
Butter 125 Gram
Brown sugar 175 Gram
Egg 1 Gram
Golden syrup/Molasses 4 Teaspoon (or honey)
Flour 350 Gram
Ground ginger 2 Teaspoon
Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
Milk 2 Teaspoon
For icing:
Egg whites 2
Icing sugar 350 Gram
Lemon 1/2 , juiced

Directions

GETTING READY:

1.Preheat your oven to 110 degrees.

MAKING:

2.Add butter, brown sugar and an egg together and whisk it properly.

3.Add golden syrup to the wet ingredients and mix the mixture properly and keep it aside.

4.Add the dry ingredients together - ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt and baking soda.

5.Mix both the wet and dry ingredients together and mix it add milk and create a dough.

6.Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate it for half hour.

7.Take half the dough, dust the silicon mat with flour and roll the dough.

8.Trim of the sides of the rolled dough.

9.Cut out the biscuits with biscuit cutter of different shapes, take of the excess dough gently.

10.Preheat the oven and put the silicon mat on the tray and put in the oven for 110 degrees for 10 minutes.

11.Whisk together – egg whites, icing sugar and juice of half a lemon.

12.Cover the icing with plastic.

13.Take a piping bag, add the icing to it and design the biscuits.

SERVING:

14.Serve and enjoy!
