Bhaja Muger Dal is a Typical Bengali delicacy prepared almost in every Bengali Households.
Moong dal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Cumin seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
Ginger paste | 1 Teaspoon | |
Chopped coconut | 2 Tablespoon (fresh) | |
Turmeric powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Chilli powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Ghee | 2 Tablespoon | |
Cumin powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Green chillies | 4 | |
Fresh green peas | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Mustard oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
Sugar | To Taste | |
Salt | To Taste |
MAKING:
1.Wash the dal and let it dry.
2.Dry roast the dal in a pan till golden brown.
3.Add 2 cups of water and cook till done.
4.Heat mustard oil add the cumin seeds, ginger paste, chilli and turmeric powder
5.Add the dal and cook and green peas and the chillies. Cover and cook.
SERVING:
6.Fry the coconut and add to the dal and serve.
