For sauce: | ||
Ghee | 2 Tablespoon | |
Onion | 1 | |
Pepper | 1 | |
Ginger garlic paste | 2 Teaspoon | |
Cumin | 1 Teaspoon | |
Coriander powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Turmeric powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Green chillies | To Taste | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Canned tomatoes | 5 Ounce (1/2 can) | |
Water | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Finely chopped coriander | 2 Tablespoon |
GETTING READY:
1.Mix the chicken in marinating ingredients and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
MAKING:
2.Heat ghee in a pan and saute onions until they are a bit soft.
3.Then add ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and stir.
4.Now add canned tomatoes and green chillies followed by a splash of water and cook for 10 minutes on high flame.
5.Once this sauce cools dowm blend it in a blender and pour it back in the pan and heat it until it bubbles.
6.Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
7.Heat ghee in another pan and sear the marinated chicken in it and add green chillies, red bell pepper, onion and stir on a high flame.
8.Transfer the seared chicken to the sauce and cook for 5-7 minutes.

9.Delicious Chicken Jalfrezi is ready to serve!
