Yogurt Drop Cookies
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Orange peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon, grated|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla yogurt||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (lowfat)|
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and orange peel; set aside.
In a large bowl beat shortening and margarine with electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.
Add sugar; beat on medium speed until fluffy.
Beat in egg, yogurt and vanilla.
Stir in flour mixture.
Drop teaspoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove to wire racks to cool.
