Dessert Yams

Ingredients
  Yams 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Oil 1
  Water 4 Tablespoon
  Soy sauce 4 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sesame seeds 4 Tablespoon
Directions

Peel yams; cut them into bite-size pieces (irregular shapes).
Fry yams in oil until just tender.
Remove from oil.
In a saucepan combine water, soy sauce, and sugar; simmer together.
Put yams into this mixture for about 2 minutes; gently mix.
Remove yams to lightly oiled serving platter.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds that have been lightly toasted.
