Medicine Hat Dandelion Wine
|Dandelion blossom||4 Quart|
|Boiling water||4 Quart|
|Compressed yeast cake||2 Ounce|
Put dandelion blossoms into a stone jar or crock.
Add sugar, then boiling water.
Grate peel and squeeze juice from lemons and orange.
When dandelion mixture is lukewarm, stir in grated peel and juice, then yeast.
Cover and let stand 24 hours.
Strain mixture through a fine cloth and let stand 3 days.
Strain again and let it ferment.
When fermenting action ceases, bottle liquid.
