Pot Roast With Wine
|Chuck roast||1 (About 3 To 4 Pounds)|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Onions||2 , quartered|
|Carrots||2 Pound, cut in 3 lengths|
|Potatoes||8 , quartered|
|Seasoned salt||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Red wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Brown the roast in hot oil in a roasting pan or Dutch oven.
Add the onions, carrots and potatoes.
Sprinkle the seasoned salt, garlic powder and pepper over the roast.
Pour the wine and water in the pan.
Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for 2 hours.
Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour longer or until fork tender.
