Hot Spiced Wine
|Orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dry red wine||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
Tie cloves and 1 cinnamon stick in a cheese-cloth bag; place in a large non-aluminum saucepan.
Add orange juice and water; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Remove from heat; add lemon and orange slices.
Cover and let stand 15 minutes.
Add wine to saucepan; bring to a simmer (do not boil).
Strain into mugs, discarding spices and fruit slices.
Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks as stirrers, if desired.
