Cheese And White Wine Casserole
|Stale bread slices||6|
|For garlic butter|
|Butter||4 Tablespoon, kneaded with 1 clove crushed garlic|
|Crushed garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Eggs||3 , lightly beaten|
|Dry white wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chicken bouillon||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cayenne||To Taste (Few Grains)|
|Grated swiss cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Trim bread slices.
Spread with garlic butter.
Cut in strips.
Line sides and bottom of shallow earthenware casserole with strips, buttered side down.
Mix beaten eggs lightly with wine and chicken bouillon.
Season with salt, mustard, paprika and cayenne.
Beat in cheese very slowly.
Pour over bread in casserole.
Bake in moderate (325°) oven 30 minutes.
