Cabbage In White Wine
|Goose fat/Bacon fat / olive oil||6 Tablespoon|
|Cabbage||1 Large, shredded|
|Onion||1 Small, sliced|
|Dry white wine/Vermouth||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Heat fat in large heavy skillet or deep pan over medium heat.
Put cabbage in it and cook, turning several times, until it is lightly browned.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add onion and white wine.
Turn down heat and simmer, covered, until cabbage is soft and well blended, stirring occasionally.
Makes 4 servings.
