Prunes In Red Wine
|Red wine||16 Ounce|
|Lemon rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Double cream||1 Tablespoon|
Soak 1 lb. of large prunes in red wine overnight.
Boil prunes in the wine to which you have added 8 oz. sugar, 1 stick cinnamon, and the rind of 1/2 a lemon.
Cook until the prunes are soft.
Remove them and take out the stones.
Let the juice boil a little longer, until it is reduced in quantity and thickened.
Place in refrigerator.
