Spicy Red Wine Punch

Ingredients
  Water 3 1⁄2 Quart
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Cinnamon sticks 6
  Green apples/Yellow apples 3 Medium, peeled, cored, and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whole pitted prunes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dry red wine 64 Ounce (2 Quart)
  Rum 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

In a 6- to 8-quart pan, combine water, sugar, and cinnamon.
Bring to a boil over high heat and boil rapidly until reduced to 3 quarts (about 15 minutes).
Discard cinnamon.
Meanwhile, mix apple slices with lemon juice.
Add to hot syrup with raisins, prunes, red wine, and rum.
