Sangria With Red Wine

Wondering what is a classic Sangria recipe?Here's what it is.An absolutely gorgeous summer day Sangria made with lovely flavours of orange & lime in it.
Ingredients
  Dry red wine 1 Bottle (1 l)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Orange liqueur 1 Tablespoon
  Sliced lemon 1⁄2 Large
  Club soda 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Mix all the ingredients in a pitcher but for soda. Chill the pitcher for 2-3 hours.Before serving add club soda for that bubbly effect.
Serve with a slice of lemon.

How about 7 up or some other citrus soda ?

Hmm, thats interesting. Iv never had Sangria with 7 up or soda. Not sure if I would like it though. I have traditionally disliked soda because of all the fizz. But may be worth trying.
