Beans And Bacon In Red Wine
|Bacon||8 Ounce, sliced and diced|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Red kidney beans/Cannellini (white kidney beans)||38 Ounce (Progresso)|
|Dry red wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon, ground|
|Parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped (fresh)|
In large skillet cook and stir bacon until crisp.
Pour off all but about 1 tablespoon of the drippings.
Add onion to bacon in skillet.
Cook and stir until onion is transparent, about 2 minutes.
Drain kidney beans.
Stir kidney beans, wine and black pepper into skillet.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Stir in parsley.
