Ugli Fruit In Spiced Wine
|Dry red wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Dash|
|Ground cloves||1 Dash|
Remove peel and outer membrane from fruit.
Using a bowl to catch juices and starting near center of fruit, insert blade of a table knife between a section of fruit and the dividing membrane.
Slide blade toward the outside.
Repeat along other side of section.
Place fruit in bowl with juices.
In saucepan mix wine, sugar, lemon juice, and spices.
Heat till sugar dissolves.
Pour hot liquid over fruit and juices.
