Ingredients
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Egg yolks 2
  Whole egg 1
  Sauternes wine 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Grated lemon rind 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan; beat in egg yolks and whole egg; stir in wine and water.
Bring slowly to boiling, stirring constantly; remove from heat immediately; stir in lemon rind.
