Wine Glazed Pears
|Pears||8 (Of Uniform Size With Stems)|
|White wine||8 Tablespoon|
|Almond paste||10 Ounce|
|Whipped cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Lemon||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), juiced|
1. Peel pears.
2. Combine water, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Set over medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat and bring mixture to boiling.
3. Boil pears in syrup until they are half soft. Place them in an ovenproof dish and pour 1 tablespoon white wine over each pear.
4. Cut the almond paste in slices and put 1 slice on each pear.
5. Bake the pears in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes.
