Whiskey Apples

Ingredients
  Lemon juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Apples 4 Large, quartered (and 4 tart)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Whisky 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (or apple jack)
Directions

Place lemon juice in bowl.
Cut apple quarters lengthwise into 1/4-inch (5 mm) thick slices; toss gently in lemon juice.
In heavy skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat until foaming; cook apples, stirring, for 5 minutes or until tender.
Stir in sugar.
Pour whisky over top; warm through.
