Buckwheat Groat Patties
|Buckwheat groats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Boiling water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Onions||2 Small, thinly sliced|
|Mushrooms||1⁄2 Pound, chopped|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Eggs||2 , slightly beaten|
|Chopped sunflower seeds||1 Tablespoon|
in a heavy saucepan, combine groats with egg and cook until egg is completely absorbed.
Add boiling water and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
While groats are cooking, saute onions and mushrooms in oil about 5 minutes.
Mix sauteed vegetables with cooked groats.
Add parsley, eggs, and sunflower seeds.
Form into patties or drop by the tablespoonful onto an oiled heated skillet.
Saute both sides until nicely browned.
