Basic Buckwheat Kasha
|Buckwheat groats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chicken broth/Beef broth / water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Salt||1 Teaspoon (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)|
1) In a large heavy skillet or saucepan, combine the groats and egg, then cook over a medium heat and stir until dry.
2) Stir in rest of the ingredients and simmer covered for 15 minutes until groats are dry and tender.
3) Gently fluff with a fork and adjust the seasoning.
4) Serve immediately in a nice plate.
