Walnut Cocoroons

Ingredients
  Egg whites 3
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Toasties/Grape-nuts flakes 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Post Brand)
  Coconut 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Bakers)
  Chopped walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Beat egg whites with salt until foamy throughout; add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating after each addition until sugar is blended.
Add vanilla.
Fold in cereal, coconut, and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto heavy paper on baking sheet.
Bake in slow oven (325°F.) for 20 minutes, or until delicately browned.
Remove from paper at once.
Makes about 3 dozen Cocoroons.
