|Cornflakes||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Special K)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Soft butter/Margarine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Coarsely chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Measure Special K; then crush to 1 1/2 cups. Set aside.
2. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.
3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Add dry ingredients, nuts and Special K; mix thoroughly. Drop by level table-spoonfuls onto slightly greased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350°F.) about 17 minutes or until lightly browned.
