|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Cheese||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs), grated|
Beat egg yolks; add milk and melted butter.
Sift flour, sugar and baking powder; add to egg mixture.
Blend thoroughly; season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add cheese, stirring just to blend.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter.
Bake in hot waffle iron until golden brown.
