Speedy Waffles

Why not try this Speedy Waffles? I am sure that you'll soon get hooked to it, just as I did. Try out this quick and simple recipe for Speedy Waffles to believe it!
Ingredients
  Pancake mix 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), melted
  Eggs 2
Directions

Heat waffle iron.
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Beat with a rotary beater until fairly smooth, but do not over- beat.
Bake waffles until iron stops steaming.
Cut into small squares, triangles, diamonds or rounds as desired and top with any of the following: Bacon-Cress topping: Combine 2 3-oz.
packages cream cheese and three tablespoons milk.
Cream until fluffy.
Add 8 strips of cooked crumbled bacon, 1/4 cup finely chopped water cress and 1/4 teaspoon onion powder.
Spread on waffle bases.
Ham and Pickle topping: Combine 1/2 pound cooked ham, ground, with 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish, 2 tablespoons prepared mustard and 1/4 cup mayonnaise.
Spread on waffle bases.
Tuna-Cheese topping: Mash 1 package cream cheese well.
Add 1 can tuna, well drained and blend together.
Add 1/4 cup chopped ripe olives and season to taste with salt, pepper and onion powder.
Spread on waffles.
Ready-Spread toppings: Spread the waffles with any of the prepared cheese spreads and garnish with stuffed olive slices, ripe olive slices or parsley.
