|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|
|Dairy sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Unsweetened cocoa powder||2 Tablespoon|
|Pie filling||1 Can (10 oz) (cherry or peach)|
In a large mixer bowl, beat egg yolks until thickened and lemon-colored.
Add melted butter or margarine, sour cream and buttermilk.
Beat until blended.
Add flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cocoa.
Beat until smooth.
Preheat waffle iron.
In a small mixer bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold into cocoa batter.
Spoon on preheated waffle iron.
Close lid and bake until brown and crisp.
Remove from waffle iron.
Repeat until all batter is used.
