|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Cocoa||2 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Milk||375 Milliliter (1 1/2 cups)|
|Vanilla essence||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Vegetable oil||4 Tablespoon, melted|
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa and sugar into a mixing bowl.
Beat the egg yolks until pale yellow.
Pour the milk onto the egg yolks and beat thoroughly.
Mix the egg yolk and milk mixture with the flour mixture.
Stir in the vanilla essence and the melted butter or vegetable oil.
Set aside for at least an hour.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter.
Fill a hot, oiled waffle iron two-thirds full with the batter and cook until the steam stops escaping from the sides.
