|All purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Egg yolks||2 , beaten|
|Milk||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Cooking oil/Melted shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg whites||2 , stiffly beaten|
In mixing bowl thoroughly stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine egg yolks, milk, and cooking oil or melted shortening.
Add to dry ingredients all at once.
Stir till blended but still slightly lumpy.
Gently fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, leaving a few fluffs of egg white.
Do not overmix.
Bake in preheated waffle baker.
