Ingredients
  Egg whites 2
  Fruit sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted and cooled
  Rum/Almond flavoring 1 Teaspoon
  Coarsely grated orange rind 1 Teaspoon
  Toasted almond slices 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Beat egg whites and sugar until white and stiff.
Add flour, butter, flavouring, rind and nuts to mixture.
Drop 1/2 teaspoons of batter, well spaced, on buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 5 to 6 minutes.
Remove from sheet and place over a rolling pin until cool and curled.
