|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted and cooled|
|Rum/Almond flavoring||1 Teaspoon|
|Coarsely grated orange rind||1 Teaspoon|
|Toasted almond slices||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Beat egg whites and sugar until white and stiff.
Add flour, butter, flavouring, rind and nuts to mixture.
Drop 1/2 teaspoons of batter, well spaced, on buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Â°F for 5 to 6 minutes.
Remove from sheet and place over a rolling pin until cool and curled.
