Benne Wafers

Ingredients
  Sesame seeds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Put the sesame seeds in a small, heavy pan and roast in the oven until slightly brown.
Remove .from the oven and add the remaining ingredients.
Mix thoroughly and drop by teaspoonfuls onto well buttered cooky sheets.
Bake until firm, five to eight minutes.
Remove carefully from the sheets while still warm.
