Ice Box Cheese Wafers

Ingredients
  Grated sharp cheese 1⁄2 Pound
  Butter 1⁄2 Pound, creamed
  Sifted flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cayenne pepper 1 1⁄4 Pinch (Heavy Pinch)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream together cheese, butter, salt and pepper.
Add flour.
Mix and make into a roll.
Wrap in wax paper and put into refrigerator.
Will keep one month.
When needed slice into thin wafers and bake in moderate oven 325 degrees.
May be decorated with nuts.
Makes about 8 thin dozens.
