Ice Box Cheese Wafers
|Grated sharp cheese||1⁄2 Pound|
|Butter||1⁄2 Pound, creamed|
|Sifted flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cayenne pepper||1 1⁄4 Pinch (Heavy Pinch)|
Cream together cheese, butter, salt and pepper.
Mix and make into a roll.
Wrap in wax paper and put into refrigerator.
Will keep one month.
When needed slice into thin wafers and bake in moderate oven 325 degrees.
May be decorated with nuts.
Makes about 8 thin dozens.
