Hot Cheese Wafers
|Old orange cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs), shredded|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), softened|
In food processor or mixing bowl, process cheese, flour and butter until well mixed. Wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Shape into small balls, about 1 tsp (5 mL) each. (Cheese balls can be frozen; thaw before baking.)
Arrange about 2 inches (5 cm) apart on baking sheets; flatten with tines of fork. Bake in 400Â°F (200Â°C) oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until firm but not browned, being careful not to overbake. Serve hot or let cool on rack. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
