Sweet Potato Pie

The sweet potato pie is a spiced dessert pie recipe made with steamed sweet potatoes. Prepared with added eggs and milk, the sweet potato pie is baked and set in a plain pastry shell.
Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Steamed sweet potato 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , slightly beaten
  Plain pastry 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Half Recipe)
Directions

Combine dry ingredients and mix with sweet potato.
Mix milk and eggs and combine with sweet potato mixture.
Line piepan with pastry and pour in filling.
Bake in a very hot oven (450° F.) 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350° F.and bake 3 5 minutes longer
