Vegetable Trio In Casserole

Ingredients
  Small white onions 1⁄2 Pound, peeled
  Small new potatoes 1 Pound, pared and quartered
  Carrot strips 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Very Thin)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Chopped parsley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Insert a whole clove into each onion.
Combine vegetables in a 1 1/2 quart shallow casserole.
Sprinkle with the salt, pepper, and monoso-dium glutamate.
Pour a mixture of the melted butter, lemon juice, sugar, and garlic over vegetables.
Tightly cover casserole.
Bake at 325°F about 1 hour.
Mix in parsley; continue baking, uncovered, until vegetables are tender.
