1. Scrub potatoes and pierce with a fork to allow steam to escape.
2. Arrange in the microwave like the spokes of a wheel, at least an inch apart, with the plumpest ends toward the middle.
3. Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
4. Turn potatoes over and microwave for 4 additional minutes.
5. Remove potatoes from microwave and place under an inverted bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes before eating.
