|Chopped green onions||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground sage||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chicken drumsticks||2 Pound|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Whole wheat flour/All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cover cracked wheat with cold water.
Let stand 1 hour.
Mix cracked wheat, onions, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sage and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Carefully separate skin from meat all around each drumstick, beginning at wide end.
Fill opening with wheat mixture.
Wipe off excess filling on outside of drumstick.
Heat margarine and oil in 375Â° oven in rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, until margarine is melted.
Mix flour, paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sage and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Coat drumsticks with flour mixture; place in pan.
Cook uncovered 30 minutes.
Turn drumsticks; cook until done, about 30 minutes longer.
