  Rice 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Coconut 1⁄2
  Onions 3
  Tomatoes 3
  Potatoes 2
  Carrots 2
  Knolkhol 1
  French beans 100 Gram
For grinding
  Dhania 1 Tablespoon
  Khus khus 1 Tablespoon
  Jeera 1 Teaspoon
  Green peas 100 Gram
  Salt To Taste
  Haldi 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Tej patta 1
  Whole garam masala 1 Teaspoon
  Coriander leaves 1 Bunch (100 gm)
  Mint leaves 4
  Oil 5 Tablespoon
  Garlic flakes 6
  Ginger piece 1 Inch

Soak rice for 1/2 an hour and drain.
Take out 2 cups coconut milk from 1/2 coconut.
Slice onions, chop tomatoes fine.
Cut rest of the vegetables into even pieces, shell peas.
Heat 2 tbs oil and fry 1/2 the quantity of onions until golden.
Add tomatoes, haldi and ground masala and fry well.
Add vegetables and some water and cook till done.
Heat remaining oil.
Fry rest of the onions till soft.
Add tej patta, whole garam masala and fry.
Add rice and fry well, stirring continuously.
Add coconut milk.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
When rice is almost done but moist, add vegetable mixture, and cook, uncovered, on a slow fire until done.
Serve with onion salad and papadams.
