Dropped Codfish and Potato Cakes

Ingredients
  Salted dried codfish 10 Ounce, shredded (1 Package)
  Mashed potatoes 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (Warm)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 Small, minced
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Parsley sprigs 2 , minced
  Fat/Oil 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
Directions

Freshen codfish according to directions on package.
Mix fish and next 6 ingredients.
Drop from tablespoon into a skillet of hot fat 1/2 inch deep.
Brown quickly on both sides; drain on unglazed brown paper.
