Mixed Fresh Vegetables

|Sliced carrots||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cut green beans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Diced rutabaga||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomato||1 Medium, peeled and diced|
Combine all ingredients except tomato with one quart of boiling water.
Simmer covered for 5 minutes.
Add the diced tomato, drain the vegetables and serve hot.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
