Sweet Potatoes With Apple Sauce Nut Topping

Ingredients
  Canned sweet potatoes 2 Pound, drained (2 cans ,1 lb. each)
  Canned apple sauce 1 Pound (1 can)
  Dark brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Mace 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄8 Pound (1/4 cup)
  Coarsely broken walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Arrange sweet potatoes in 9-inch square baking pan or other casserole.
Mix together apple sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, and mace, and spoon over the potatoes.
Dot with butter and sprinkle with nut meats.
Bake, uncovered, in a moderately hot oven (375°) for 35 minutes, or until heated through.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
