Beat the milk and eggs together; stir them into the mashed yams and blend thoroughly.
Mash up the ricotta cheese so it isn't in one lump; stir the spices and sunflower seeds into it. Then add the mixture to the yams, and blend well. (Stir in the honey.)
Turn the mixture into an oiled casserole. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes.
