Turnip And Potato Bake
|Turnips||1 Pound, peeled and thinly sliced (2.5 Cup Or 450 Gram)|
|Potatoes||1 Pound, peeled and thinly sliced (3 Cups Or 450 Gram)|
|Ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Single cream||60 Milliliter (4 Tablespoon)|
|Chopped chives||1 Tablespoon|
Layer the turnips and potatoes in a round dish, dotting each layer with butter and seasoning with salt and pepper. Cover with waxed paper and press well down.
Stand the dish on an inverted plate. Cover and cook for 9 minutes, turning once.
Slowly pour over cream so that it seeps between the layers. Brown slightly under the grill (broiler), garnish with chives.
