Stuffed Karelas Or Bitter Gourd

Ingredients
  Karela 8 Small
  Peanuts 100 Gram
  Tamarind 25 Gram
  Green chillies 6
  Cinnamon piece 1 Small (tiny)
  Cloves 3
  Black peppercorns 8
  Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
  Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
  Raisins 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Wash the karelas. Slit on side and remove the seeds and soft fluff inside. Place in a dekchi half filled with salted water and allow to boil for five minutes. Drain the water and squeeze out the bitter juice by lightly squeezing each karela between your palms.
Grind together the tamarind and all the other items till soft. Mix the raisins and sugar in the masala, add salt and stuff the karelas with the mixture and tie them with a thin white thread.
Place 1 cup oil in a karahi and heat. When smoking, lower the flame and place the stuffed karelas in the karahi and fry till cooked.
Remove the strings and serve with rotis and a lentil dish.
