Sweet Potato Apple Stuffing
|Canned sweet potatoes||17 Ounce (1 can, vacuum pack)|
|Apple||1 Medium, peeled, cored, and chopped|
|Chopped onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Soft bread cubes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Mash sweet potatoes.
In skillet cook apple and onion in butter or margarine till tender.
Stir in sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
Combine with sweet potatoes and bread cubes; mix well.
Use to stuff two 3-pound broiler-fryer chickens (or a 5-pound domestic duckling) or bake, covered, in a 1-quart casserole at 375° about 25 minutes.
